Webinar 10: Governance and Organizational Setup of Roles & Permissions

This webinar will dive into who owns roles and permissions once an IFS Cloud project is over. Business departments know what each job needs, IT knows how to grant it, and in many organizations nobody is assigned to connect the two. Access is requested as “same as colleague X”, people who change jobs keep their old access, and approvers sign off projections they cannot read. After a few years, nobody can say why a role contains what it does.

We’ll show what the established standards expect, where IFS makes it harder, and an ownership model built on the two-layer approach, with end user roles owned by the business and functional roles owned by IT. We’ll walk through requesting, changing and removing access, temporary and deputy access without an end date on the grant, the impact check before a role changes, and a yearly review at a level the business can read. We’ll also cover what must exist on day one after go-live and how a central team and local key users share the work. This session is ideal for IFS administrators, permissions owners, and IT and business leads responsible for access after go-live.
